These 2-storey terraced family houses provide much desired social housing on a brown field site close to central Guildford.

The site is located on a busy road and is bordered on two further sides by pedestrian routes used intensively by local students.

Prior to development the site was in use as a car park.  Due to a lack of car parking for residents in the area, the brief required the provision of a number of car parking spaces for them in addition to parking for the development.

The site lies within a densely developed area of 19th Century housing, now designated as a conservation area.  The deveopment has therefore been designed in terms of style and materials to fit naturally within the conservation area.  The houses have level access from the street with kitchens and bathrooms on the street side and living areas and the bedrooms on the quieter garden side, facing South West.
