Architecture
The full service - Archadia will undertake to design and manage your project
from the feasibility and concept stages to completion on site. As well as
working under traditional contracts, Archadia has experience of acting either
as Employer's agent or 'novated architect' on design and build projects and
of working as part of a team of consultants on Partnering projects. |
|
 |
Refurbishments, extensions, alterations
As well as new buildings, Archadia has considerable experience of remodelling
and upgrading existing buildings, which can sometimes be the best option when
meeting the need for additional and improved spaces. |
|
 |
Space Planning
Past experience has given the team considerable expertise in space planning in both
the commercial and residential sectors, giving Archadia the skills to always design
with an eye to the most efficient use of available space. |
|
 |
Interior design
To ensure that the finished product is always attractive to the eye and the finishes
as suitable as possible for the user, we have our own in-house interior design
consultant to advise at the appropriate stage of the project. |
|
 |
Planning Advice
Without planning permission, the project remains a dream for ever. Archadia has a
good track record of obtaining planning permission for difficult sites, as well
as having experience of dealing with the Environment Agency and English Heritage
to successfully negotiate over permissions. |
|
 |
Feasibility advice and analysis
Archadia has successfully undertaken projects involving the analysis of an
organisation's building stock, reporting and advising on possible solutions
to upgrade and add to it including cost guidance to enable the organisation
to develop its plans for the future property management and development.

|
Cost Consultancy
Archadia is acutely aware ot the importance of cost control and believes
that this is most effectively done from within the architect's office.
Where no independent QS has been appointed, Archadia seeks advice from its
regular cost consultant in order to keep the client informed of any likely
project outcomes as the design develops. |
|

|
CDM Co-ordinator
Archadia's team includes a trained and experienced CDM Co-ordinator able to play this role
under the CDM Health and Safety regulations. It makes sense for someone within the architect's
team to undertake this at an early stage as this is when decisions are taken that may impact
on Health and Safety both during construction and in terms of longer term maintenance and repair.
This tends to lead to a less bureaucratic and more outcome related cluture. |
|

|
Accessibility design and auditing
Archadia has a qualified in-house access consultant registered with the
National Register of Access Consultants and the practice has considerable
experience in both designing for accessability and carrying out access audits
to assist clients to comply with the DDA and ensure best access for all to
their buildings. |
|
 |
Landscape design
Archadia places emphasis on planting around the building which will help
to make it mature sympathetically within its setting and we work regularly
with our soft landscaping specialist to achieve this. |
|
 |
Surveying
Archadia can prepare comprehensive condition surveys for clients to advise on
condition and possible costs of improvements prior to purchase of buildings. |
